Can’t find RSAT for Windows 8 RTM? That’s because it doesn’t exist! At least not yet… However there is a way you can install RSAT from the Windows 8 Release Preview on Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit) RTM using a simple little trick. Here’s how to do it!
1) Download the version of RSAT for your system from here. (32-bit or 64-bit)
2) Extract the MSU file using WinRar or 7-Zip to a temp folder.
3) Open a command prompt window (As Administrator) and browse to the directory containing the extracted files.
4) Type the following command: pkgmgr /n:Windows6.2-KB2693643-x64.xml (note for this example I am using the 64-bit version).
5) Go grab a coffee and wait… Seriously, wait. Do Not Open ADUC or any other tools until the install has completed. To monitor the progress check the task manager and watch the application “pkgmgr”
